Is wycen.app suitable for construction cost estimates?
Yes. You lay an estimate out in sections (demolition, installations, finishing) and add line items with a quantity, a unit of measure and a unit price to each. The app does not use the Polish KNR labour-norm catalogues — it works from your own rates, so it fits client-facing quotations rather than tender-grade investor estimates.
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate here?
Technically they are the same document. A simple quote is one section with a few lines; a full estimate is several sections with dozens of lines and mixed VAT rates. Net, VAT and gross are worked out the same way in both.
How does the client accept an offer online?
You send one link. The client opens the quote in a browser, phone included, with no account and no download. They can sign it with a finger on screen, leave a comment and accept or reject it. The acceptance date, the signature and the name of the person accepting are stored on the quote, and you get a notification.
Do the quotes follow Polish VAT rates?
Yes. Rates of 0, 5, 8 and 23% are available and set per line item, so one estimate can carry 8% on renovation labour and 23% on materials. Amounts are stored in integer cents, so totals never drift on rounding.
Can I quote products, not just services?
Yes. The catalogue keeps services and products as separate lists, and a line can also be typed in by hand without adding it to the price list. The usual case is a single offer combining hardware (products) with installation (services).
Do I need my own website to collect inquiries?
Not strictly, but it helps a lot. If you have a site, you paste in one line of code and the quote-request form collects inquiries around the clock — each one creating a client record and a draft quote. Without a site you simply add clients by hand.
How much does the app cost?
The Free plan costs nothing and covers two quotes a month plus a small service catalogue. Premium is a flat monthly subscription with unlimited quotes, an unlimited catalogue and form widgets for your website. No card is needed to sign up, and you can cancel Premium whenever you like.
What about my clients’ data and GDPR?
Each company’s data is isolated — you only ever see your own quotes, clients and price lists. The servers and the database sit in the European Union, and the privacy policy sets out how data is processed. Deleting a client or a quote archives it, so a stray click does not cost you the history.
